‘Slumdog Millionaire’ actress Freida Pinto is likely to appear in Woody Allen’s next movie. The actress revealed the news of working in the new venture during an interview to the media. The 24-year-old Mumbai girl, Pinto played the role of Latika in Danny Boyle’s Oscar winning film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. The Mumbai-shot film, ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ topped this year’s Oscars list by winning as many as eight Academy Awards including the Best Film.

The film deals with the story of a teenaged tea boy called Jamal Malik who participates in a quiz show ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’ and emerges as a winner. The role of protagonist is played by British-born Indian actor Dev Patel and Freida Pinto was cast opposite him. Out the eight Academy Awards, Indian music genius AR Rahman received two honours for Best Original Score and Best Original Song. Rahman shared the second award with renowned lyricist Gulzar.

Dev Patel has already signed a movie with Manoj Night Shyamalan for the villain’s role in ‘The Last Airbender’. Talking about her new assignment, Freida Pinto said that the entire credit goes to the British director Danny Boyle. Woody Allen is a three time Oscar winner director. He is considered to one of the world’s finest living filmmakers.
